Title: Boston Vegan?
Post by: WavyGravy on October 29, 2008, 11:46:19 AM
I'm gonna be in boston next week and don't know where to find stuff to do.  It might be an extended stay so I'd like a good resource for shows, goings-on, etc.  You know, anything from raves to readings.
Thanks,
 Mike

Oh, and any bar that stays open past two would be awesome.

Well, between my night job and my homebody girlfriend, I don't get out to shows like I used to.  But I know of resources like our local alt weeklies The Phoenix (http://thephoenix.com/Boston/Listings/) and The Dig (http://www.weeklydig.com/front) plus the boring old Boston Globe (http://www.boston.com/thingstodo/).  Our own version of Gothamist, Bostonist (http://bostonist.com/tags/happenings) also has some listings.

and yeah, there's no such thing as a bar in Boston open after 2 am.

Thanks Samir.  I checked that out and it looks pretty cool.  And yeah, I didn't think there was a bar open past two.  Last time my friend took me to a place in chinatown that served beer in soda cans  -  no joke  -  he ordered 'cold tea' and thats what they brought us.
