Pretty much all Leonard Cohen songs are non-traditional love songs to me.

This thread inspired me to listen to Nick Cave's lecture on love songs. If I can be serious for a minute, "Into My Arms" is a gorgeous song. I don't believe in an interventionist god either, but it's undeniably great.
-
Don't watch the video for that if you're given to melancholy.
-
Dude, the song is enough to make me cry.
-
How about Josh Ritter's Girl In The War. Now that's a pretty song about love.
-
Tom Lehrer's "I Hold Your Hand in Mine" and "Masochism Tango." And the VU's "Venus in Furs."
-
I cried when watching "Jealous Guy," which surprised me.
