I wish I had been liveblogging this! It was so much more of a disaster than could be predicted. My new theory is that celebrity roasts are just about to reach capacity and explode in the ugliest, most glorious fashion. The machinery is already red hot and steaming. Because of this, The Best Show roast could not be more perfectly timed (if that's still happening)!
Only a few highlights: Geraldo Rivera has smoked pot on over 50 continents. Penn Jillette used his ogre powers to destroy the giant, smoking bong that was pulling double duty as a podium. Teller then proceeded to pick up the the still smoking bong stem, to use it as an artificial phallus. To close out the show, Cheech and Chong revived their classic "Dave's not here" sketch, before clasping hands and taking a bow.
