That caller had a Woodsy-type voice. Hilarious threats as usual.
My favorite "Wait, what" was done by Gene Simmons (August 8, 2006).
It was a quick "wait,what,NO!"

My favorite has to be 1/31/06....Bryce got "massive" 120,000 dollars after his hand was bitten off by a nieghbors pet lion. I hate to break it to you Bryce but 120k isnt massive....Wait Whaaaaaaaat!?

Two from this year that were particularly great: the classic three-octave whaaaaaaaaaaaaat (first one ever dropped on Tom's bottom) issued by Zachary Brimstead on 6/20/06 and an extremely high-pitched one by Bryce on 6/6/06. Towards the end it was so high, it nearly became inaudible by the human ear.

Wow, yeah - - I'm tempted to construct a 'Wait, Whut?' Montage
the classic three-octave whaaaaaaaaaaaaat (first one ever dropped on Tom's bottom)
issued by Zachary Brimstead on 6/20/06
Zachary B. Also dropped the 'N' Word in the same call.
Thanks to Michael Richards, he may think twice next time.

That November 29 show also features some great laughing by Tom, prompted by KickTheBobo's entry in the theme song contest. You should be very proud, KTB. There was some sincere chuckling going on.

1. I just stumbled accross some funny laughs by Tom - During the 'Chris Klein interview'
Starting at 1:35, and ending at 1:36.
Dec 13 2005 Archive.

2. I remember Tom laughing at KTB's entry, but he didn't even play the whole thing (if i remember correctly).
So, I subsequently downloaded it. That song has made its way into my iTunes Heavy Rotation list.
3. Also... I just saw this KTB work. Holy S-Hit.

The wait whuuuuuuuut with the bong hit in the middle by Bryce and the numerous whait whuts by Mike Sajak.
-
I liked the caller from early August of this year who wanted Tom to settle the bet with his friend Troy about whether John's Children was the first band of Marc Bolan from T. Rex or Michael Anthony from the Sweat Brothers. Tom informed the caller that his friend won that one, and was met with a near-ghostly "wait... whuuuuuuuuuuuuut" that fluttered in the air like summer dew, or something.
-
I think my favorite "whait, whuuuut" is the one that Tom did in his head when he realized that three theme song contest entries in a row were lame joke entries prompted by an even lamer original prankster, but that they had been done by two different people, as if there were possibly enough stupidity going around for two different people who dont' even know each other to both use the My Brother and Me theme song for no reason at all. It wasn't even a joke because it wasn't funny in any traditional sense; it was only funny because of how stupid it was. And that, my friends, is exactly the humor of The Best Show.

I put "Wait, whut" into this video I'm making for Spanish Class. Espera...¿qué?

I must say, I believe last night's call from PBR takes the cake. It was almost to the point of being over the top. But, nicely done, that's my word.
