Hey Petey, did your kitty cat come back? I hope so!
My mom had a siamese cat named Morgan, and Morgan went off for six months on an adventure when mom was away from home at college. I like to imagine she was trying to track down my mom. So, Morgan came back after six months, and she was a little skinny but none the worse for wear. I hope your kitty comes back safe, and soon, if she hasn't yet.
Cute story about Morgan: When my mom lived in New York, she'd walk around her neighborhood with Morgan sitting on her shoulder. Awwww!

Two more prodigal cat tales:
My cat Mary, before she moved in with me, apparently disappeared for three months from the feed store where she had been living. When she returned, they could see that she'd had a litter of kittens during her walkabout. Perhaps your cat is just sowing her wild oats.
When I was three or something, our cat Fluffy (a rough, battle-scarred, unneutered male) left home for a long stretch and then walked into our kitchen one night, looked horrified, and took off forever. At least we knew he hadn't died; he just hated us.

Did nobody else make the connection between Petey's cat and the Goshen kitty killers?

Be nice, Jason!
If your kitty hasn't come home yet, I recommend giving Petfinder (http://www.petfinder.com/post/classifiedhop.html) a chance. You can do a "quick pet search" and see if anyone in the tri-state area has seen your little mischief-maker and posted a "found" ad. You can also post a lost ad. Good luck, buddy.

I was wondering about this too but I figured I was the only one who was in the dark. Not really a 'cat person' but I feel for you Petey. Keep us posted.

And I will refrain from posting my many "cats who left home never to be seen again" stories.

I made a different connection, somewhat more remote perhaps. Probably because I was just reading the post immediately before this one. Namely that "Arrested Development" is funny to some people because it bewilders them that others are amused by it -- reminded me of Petey's "Bill Purry" comment that Tom immediately branded as "existentially unfunny." I was chuckling at the time, probably because Petey's "Petey voice" gets me just about every time.
