Anyone?

If you mean Devil in the White City, yes. It's good, great even.
If you like that try reading Charlatan: America's Most Dangerous Huckster, the Man Who Pursued him, and the Age of Flim Flam by Pope Brock. It's about an enterprising young snake oil salesman who kills people by implanting goat testicles in their bodies, inventing rock and roll/country border radio along the way. great fun!
Devin's new album ain't so hot

Loved this book. Also like the Dude.

Liked this but it irritated me when I saw his follow-up book had the exact same concept.

Great book.

Well maybe I'll check this one out. Honestly when I first heard about it, it sounded really gimmicky, like the author was trying to force a bunch of only vaguely related events into some grand simplistic thesis about the dark side of progress. But I'll give it the benefit of the doubt now -- it's on my list for the coming year.
Is there some way to correct the title to this thread?

I think each poster would have to correct it in his/her own post(s) (as I have done).

I read it a year or so ago. Great read.

Yeah, the stories aren't so much connected as they're coincident. Since this isn't a college course, you don't have to look for an overarching theme to connect everything. You are allowed to take the book at face value and just enjoy it for whatever reason if you choose.

I read "Devin in the White City." It was disappointing.
