Title: Improptu election night listening party in JC? Bklyn?

Seems like it might be a pretty good night to be acting communally.  If society implodes we can form together to make a big wedge and force our way to a Costco or something.
Title: Mourn Ya' Till I Join Ya, Tony Hillerman.
Post by: Spoony on October 27, 2008, 12:18:32 PM
For those of you who are a fan of murder, (the fiction stuff, not the real stuff), you may be saddened to learn that Tony Hillerman has died at 83.

His detective novels were told from the police departments of Native American tribes and their relationship to the spiritual and tangible worlds. His works was intelligent, funny and knew how to bring dread to the reader if he wanted. He presented the Native American cops as outsider detectives, caught between two cultures and trying to maintain their indentity. Fancy dissection aside, he wrote great novels for over 30 years and Joe Leaphorn is still one of my favorite detectives. Tony Hillerman has left behind an amazing body of work that I highly recommend.

Is anyone else having big problems with friendsoftom.com? For the past few days it won't load for me half the time.

Or it's loading separate posts under moody 9/11 posts, as demonstrated above by my completely out-of-context recommendation of Tony Hillerman.
