Okay, they lost me with the Weevil Fight Club, obvi, but they pulled me back in with the gay captains making out with tongues and everything. I am so easy.

I'll agree with Jason opinion it was a big pile of poo. Still it was way better then K9 & Company or Babylon 5. Cause we all know what Babylon 5 is. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shXK4SmpVlM)

At long last, I chime in on the subject of Torchwood (I know you've all been waiting for this). My verdict? It's crap. I'll keep watching it, because it takes a lot for me to give up once I've started on a show, but I'm very disappointed. The plots are dull, confused, and repetitive. The acting is second-rate (how could I not have noticed what a terrible actor John Barrowman is when I saw him on Dr. Who? Plus which, his excessively capped teeth are far too large for his mouth, which is disconcerting). The special effects, though expensive, are somehow cheesy. Here's testimony to the extent of my dislike: I went to the trouble of transferring seven episodes to a DVD for my mother and ended up just deleting them all, so convinced was I that she'd loathe them.
P.S. In the spirit of full disclosure, I must confess that Babylon 5 was an important part of my life ten years ago, and I will forever have a fondness for it.
P.P.S. Is it terrible message board etiquette to have necromanced this thread? It's a quandary: on the one hand, one is urged not to start a new thread when an existing one will work, but, one the other, one is discouraged from posting in threads that have been inactive for a fair while. What to do, what to do?

Torchwood would be better if they ever bothered to resolve any of the damn storylines. If I want to see Barrowman make out with himself I could just stalk him.

Who discouraged thread resurrection?

A message that flashed on the screen when I posted my response. It said something like: "Warning: No one has posted in this thread for more than 120 days. You might want to consider starting a new one." And then there are the rules on some other boards that make reviving old threads sound like some kind of barbaric faux-pas that has no place in civilized society.

I think you did the right thing, Sarah. I needed this outlet, and I feel a lot better after taking a half-hearted swipe at an actor. I may even love Torchwood now. Who knows.
