When are you going to start streaming or podcasting The AP Mike Show? If The Best Show is "Hamlet," The AP Mike Show is "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead," right?

Actually, I suppose Tom does the existentialist/absurdist show and AP Mike does the tragedy, so reverse those literary comparisons. Or would "Apocalypse Now"/"Hearts of Darkness" be a more apt model?
-
I love AP Mike's expanded role on the show. Match Wits is so funny.

It streams straight into your brain. Well mine anyway.

Dear Snuggie,
It is "Heart" of Darkness. Just being technical.

-
Plural, as in http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0102015/, not the novella.
-
"Hearts of Darkness: A Call Screener's Apocalypse."

Plural, as in http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0102015/, not the novella.
If anyone oughta know about being plural, you'd think it would be Fredericks.

I like to think he spells it "Frederix," like a Goscinny/Uderzo character.

Triple toches youse guys.
I just gave myself a Judo Chop.
Is it Keith Richard or Richards?
Is it Jeffery Frederick and The Clamtones. Or Fredericks?
My experience tells me it depends on the album.
Re: my name: "X" is also correct.
I Love Robbin' Banks..............

Fitzcarraldo/Burden of Dreams would be more appropriate.

It's not your fault, Snuggie.

i like to imagine mike's show like the channel inside the top corner of the screen (if this were television).
-
I'm trying to decide which show to call in to as Vulgar Vinnie, my new alter ego I started developing a minute and 30 seconds ago.
-
Vulgar Vinnie will always be welcome on The Mike Show, Chris L (fyi I sometimes refer to the FOT Chat as The Chris L. Show--the funniest motherscratcher in the bunch, there I said it!).
-
This Tuesday we had at least four shows going - The Best Show, The Mike Show, The Chris L Show, and at one point, The Fredericks Show (also in the chat).

You may be thinking of Tor, not Fredericks. Tor was deeply upset that people weren't discussing Toonces the Driving Cat. After thinking about it for a few days, I see where he was coming from now.
And I would like to third the greatness of Chris L, even though we all know he's motivated to succeed the way he does by the burning shame of being only the second most famous Chris L among the FOT. There can be only one, Chris. You know what you have to do.

Not hearing the Mike show gives it the mystique it deserves.

Yes! Of course.

This is all high praise indeed. However, Wes is right: I need to vanquish Theme Song Chris L once and for all and this Vulgar Vinnie thing may be my last - or at least less horrifying - option. I'm putting all my eggs in one basket and crafting double entendres about them.

Every time I try to call into the Mike Show I always get a busy signal. Always.
-
I called into to AP Mike's show to suggest a topic "Charlie Sheen's favorite websites" and AP Mike told me to bring that G-rated nonsense to Tom's show. :'( I am so po-faced.

I couldn't help myself.

On the Mike Show, I am known as Spike.

BRILLIANT!!!
-
"Hearts of Darkness: A Call Screener's Apocalypse."
This is one of those things that makes me laugh out loud at work, thus calling into question my sanity and professionalism with all those co-workers around me.
Well played.
-
With a name like "SexyAnkles," you're headed for a booking on the Mike Show soonish!
Note: Also a possible idea for a topic.
-
I imagine The AP Mike Show is very much like what I always imagined The Travis Bickle Show would've sounded like. I heard A rumor that brokeNCYDE, Hinder & Bob Saget have been booked on the AP Mike Show for the marathon. That would be so Sick! Wow, is that A "Perfect Strangers" still. I love that. They just don't make shows like that anymore. Six seasons. All killer, no filler!
-
Next week: The Mike Show! I am very excited about this. Obviously it might be a little watered-down because of the FCC regulations, but I would like to consider some potential topics. For example, in response to this week's topic "Don't You Know That's Wrong?" I would suggest "Who Are You To Judge Me?"
-
once i heard next week The Best Show was inaugurating the Mike Show live, i seriously considered calling in. let's hope i dont flake out like the other times!
-
Does this mean Call Screener Tom Scharpling?
-
At least one topic is too low-brow for the Mike Show.

Was it as bad as I predicted, Samir?
-
Mike,
I actually had a good time. It was College Night, so it was free to get in, and it was reasonably crowded. There were a lot of people that had money riding on the games, so the atmosphere was pretty good. The rules were pretty easy to follow, for a novice like me. Dollar beers were a nice touch, though the beers were obviously not the greatest. The games lasted a good couple of hours, and despite being kind of a luddite about not-soccer sports, I did get into it. Pancho (#17) quickly became my fave, on the grounds that he was a late sub into the night's program, and yet he was very good. I may even go again next week!
I guess I'd rather share all that now, rather than on the debut Mike Show.

done. this needs to happen.

Done.

done!
-
Signed. I look forward to hearing more KFC horror stories in the weeks to come.
-
I liked the Mike Show. More deadpan confessions, please.
Along the lines of "I drink until I pass out," from the first "Match Wits with Mike."
-
The only thing that would have improved last night is Martin Short playing "Match Wits with Mike."
-
Does this mean Call Screener Tom Scharpling?
What album would Mike ask Tom to get him when he's feeling "out of it?"

Something from G. Gallin no doubt.
-
I'd like to hear Mike's thoughts on the various JFK assassination conspiracies that have been bandied about over the years. This would be a good topic for a future show.

I signed as well. I want a dramatic reading of "Lil Agguire, the Wrath of God"
-
Huge fan of the Mike Show.
-
Best thing I've read about The Mike Show yet:
"At the radio message board, he's a beloved figure or growing into a beloved figure, sort of in the role of Kevin! I wonder if he has his own Smalls yet."
:o

Do I (the guy) know you, erechoveraker?

Petition Update:
51 signatures were submitted to Ken Freedman, but Ken doesn't accept any 3rd-party show requests. So if you want to fill in for Evan, you need to ask Ken yourself, Mike. Make it happen!

Listener-supported, eh? More like "listeners ignored!". I have never been so outraged in all my life.
I don't care
