I hope it's not haunted.

Wow, I like it!

Y'know how in every suburban American film or TV show, the houses look just like that - one storey but really big and nice? Are ALL American houses actually like that? It seems too good to be true. I love your houses!

actually, in Oklahoma these types of houses are kind of a rare thing.  All my buddies have moved to the suburbs and live in these kind of urban sprawl type neighborhoods with track homes, the whole thing kind of makes me sick.  Luckily, I've got a wife who agrees and who doesn't mind living in kind of a bohemian area (bohemian for OK City at least)

I said "kind of" 3 times in that last post.  I need to work on that.

Well, Miami's suburban enclaves are filled with spanish-tile roofed houses, and they're all mostly ugly. The apartment complexes on the Beach, however, are awesome. They're either awesomely ugly or awesomely pretty. Oh, well, they can also just be plain old ugly, like the pink condo building that houses China Grill.

Wait, no. Nevermind. I'm thinking of the building that's just behind that one -- the one that looks like a Nintendo castle or something? Yeah, I could see "Peach" living there. The Princess from Super Mario Bros. wasn't always called Peach, was she? I don't think she was... I remember being surprised when I first played Mario Kart 64, learning that she had been christened Peach and no one had told me.

In North American releases of all sorts, she was known as Princess Toadstool for quite the time. This is related to her role as the princess of Mushroom Kingdom. It is most unsettling to now know her as Peach, a name not well-suited to royalty if you ask me.

It's better than Diana!

Every house in every suburb in Ireland looks something like this:

Not so good.

You want to get a few tins of paint and brighten up the side of that house with a mural of balaclaved gentlemen.

That's an all-around cool, unique-looking house. The roof is extremely steep. Are the ceilings really high?

I grew up in the suburbs of Northern New Jersey and 80% of the houses there (one of the exceptions being my own) were exactly like Weiner Dog's house in Welcome to the Dollhouse.  First floor with an entryway and adjoining family/t.v. room, quasi-second floor or 1.5th floor with living room (complete with piano) and adjoining kitchen (fish sticks!), and then the third floor was really small with two bedrooms and a bathroom.  Another reason why that is the most brutal movie ever, with the exception of all the other todd solondz movies.

At least Diana isn't something you would call a pet. Though I mostly heard Princess Diana referred to as "Princess Di", which is ironic since she died and all.

Oh no, the attic is on top! And that's a picture from an estate agent's site, which ruins any uniquity by looking a lot like every other house.

Kenkwan, you're probably seeing the next door's chimney too. :(

Jason, HighHose McGinty is an IRA man.

The Irish suburban house? Yea, that place is depressing. I should have been more clear....I was talking about Pizza Monster's house being cool and unique-looking. Mostly by comparison to most houses around where I live, which pretty much fit John H's description.

Well done!  Really cool looking

I'm never going to own a home because I can't afford to.

I was thinking that too! It looks like churchy.

All this talk about things being haunted (in here and in the um, other discussion) is making me lament the death of Robert Stack even more.

Maybe Wayne Coyne lives nearby?

Wayne lives about 9 blocks south in the Ghetto portion in a HUGE 50's style art deco mansion that is not too impressive from the street, but is freaking huge if you really look at it.

Buck up, buddy. The real estate market finally seems to be deflating:

If you work hard and save harder, you might be living in an old Tower Records in a few years.
