I like to draw comics so I'll offer a high quality print of a new original comic made exclusively for FOT forum members who donate $100.

what my comics are like: www.thesubcommittee.com I promise this isn't some lame excuse to link my stuff.

I will print a one-of-a-kind (1 color print) t-shirt for the highest FOT pledge.
The winner just needs to email me the artwork and what size shirt they want.

Or, I can a make random print from a screen I have in my garage.

Your choice!

Sure, send me a PM with your address and I'll send them out as soon as possible! Gonna go with the honor system here since I obviously can't verify who donated what.  ;D

I pledged a fair amount last night and did not receive an email, which is how I assume they take all the relevant info (this is my first time donating to WFMU,). I'm wondering if this is strange, or if it takes some time. I'm hoping she did not spell my email incorrectly. People always spell my last name incorrectly, even if I spell it for them. Please advise!

If you pledged by phone, you'll get something in the mail in a few weeks that confirms your gift choices and tells you how much, if any, you still owe (you'll get this if you pledged online as well). If you pledged online, you should've gotten a pledge receipt via email. Mine went into my spam box, so check there.

When you complete your pledge with the thing they send you in the mail, you can check the package(s) that you want.

I like this idea, so I'll offer some things that the winner will be able to pick ONE from:

  • A sneaked in easter egg image of your choice in the upcoming, totally unauthorized Fuel Dump graphic novel I'm currently working on.
  • A rap rapped just for you, on a theme of your choosing (guaranteed not to be very good).
  • Something I mail to you, that is entirely up to me (this one is the wild card).

Fuel Dump graphic novel?  That is really exciting.

i shamefully don't have the funds to make a donation this year, but in the spirit of this thing, i will make an axe-bass-shaped ukulele for the FOT who donates the most during the second marathon show.  i can scrawl 'this machine kills tom' across the front, if you want.

if the winner is vegan, please let me know and i'll skip the shellac.

i wouldnt spill FOT blood for this, but i would give $1,000...which i did!  i hope that brings me one step closer to a ukelele/comic/cross stitch/various wild card(s) posted.

not to mention, everyone did a brilliant job pledging this year.  congratulations (again) to those who gave $$ and if you didnt, im sure Ken and co. wouldnt mind finding a check from you in the coming days/weeks/months.

This is a one of a kind, non-commercial, woody satire.

If we bring cash into this, gene simmons will sue me.  As awesome as it would be to receive an axe-shaped cease and desist letter, i'm just not in a position to take the risk.

I do appreciate your interest.

Axe-shaped cease and desist letter!  Hilarious!

What's scarier is, judging by the way he runs that Toyota dealership, he'd probably serve the order to you himself, in full make-up.

either that or get the process server to spit fake blood in my face.

some much-needed paying work just materialized, so this thing is going to take a little longer than i planned. though i'm sure it'll be ready to send out some time in april.

Look at that uke!  That is unbelievable.

Since the winner of this thing is too busy being a rich ass to know you're making this for him or her, maybe you could nix the original offer and instead auction it off when it's complete. That way you could raise additional money, and the recipient would better appreciate how awesome it is.

Just a thought.  It's not like I'm going to start the bidding at 300 dollars or anything.

Dorvid, i like the idea.  That's what i'll do for the next marathon.  As for this uke, i stand -and will continue to stand- by my original offer. But really, the fate of this thing is still unknown. Anything could happen. 2 things could happen.

i suppose i put the bigger meaning out of my head by focusing on details that are detached from it. like a downstairs doctor does.
so...who are the possible new owners of this treasure?
i'm going to listen live on the 14th, and will put the word out in the chat before the show gets running. if a booze-cruiser doesn't come aboard, and barring some sort of price is right 'and one' situation,  i guess it would go to the first $1000 leveler to lay claim. if i've read this thread correctly, that would be you.

it's the pledge levels that complicate things. i really should have worked out the details beforehand. but if i had that ability, i'd probably have a realer job, and could have contributed like a human, not like some dislocated woodsman trying to pay for his big mac with smooth river rocks. :)
