Friends,
I'll be visiting Manhattan from Sunday through Wednesday afternoon, and thought I'd take the opportunity to support the lively arts by taking in a stand-up show. Any recommendations? My taste in stand-up seems to mirror Tom's, as his guests (Patton O., Paul F. T., Zach G., etc.) are all among my favorites.
I know nothing about comedy clubs in NYC.
Thanks!

Also checking out the New York page at AST can help steer you right. I would agree with Andy that the Comedy Cellar is good place. Its a comedy club for sure, rather than an alternative room where you'd likely see Paul F, Patton & Zach, but unless you have someone great like those guys going up, an average night at the Cellar is generally better than an average night at an alternative room.

now that I'm at a computer I'll ellaborate:
I really like the cellar because it seems like where the bigger name guys go to work on their material. The room is pretty small and I've had a lot of fun when I have gone.
