Joe Belock said he could not talk about the details except that he could not play the music in studio as loud as he normally does. Brian however just said that there where movie trucks outside the building filming what he thinks is a Jerry Brackhaimer/Nick Cage feature.....
maybe Tom will get to have Nick Cage in the studio tonight??
-
What's the movie's premise?
Nic Cage has to find the secret to unlocking a pharaoh's curse within the grooves of a rare white label pressing of Metal Machine Music...
-
It's too bad they couldn't have had Cage around during the marathon. I bet he'd be a persuasive fundraiser.
"THE WORLD WILL END IN 666 MINUTES IF WE DON'T RAISE EXACTLY $911,911! COME ON!"
-
It's this one (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0963966/). It also stars one of Apatow's minions.
-
I had mixed feelings when I first heard about this, then I realized: More Money For WFMU = Good Thing.
Or what if WaWa Records & Filmed Entertainment is behind this whole thing? Philly Boy Roy's turning Jersey City into Lipstick City!

wait. is this some kind of live action fantasia thing?
-
A sorcerer (Cage) leaves his workshop in the hands of his apprentice (Baruchel), who gets into trouble when the broomstick he's tasked to do his chores for him somehow develops a mind of its own
This is just another Wurster bit, no?

Nicolas Cage will be following the lead of Joaquin Phoenix, as he too will be embarking on a career as a rap artist. Good luck to him.

fantastic line
-
I think that Cage got fed up chasing after superhero roles that he couldn't land so he has decided to just become a real superhero.
-
Ah c'mon... Ghost Rider was fantastic......

Ah c'mon... Ghost Rider was fantastic......
Yeah, but the problem is that he thought Moonstruck was a superhero movie as well.

Nic Cage quit acting a long time ago.

OH COME ON

Cage's best role is in Face Off, a film ahead of it's surgical time.
I hope WFMU got paid well, those movie crews can trash a place.

Face/Off is good, but both Snake Eyes and Con-Air are better.

oh come on, and con air wasn't a film ahead of its awful southern accent time?

OH COME ON

Having never before seen either the original or the remake of The Wicker Man, this clip was surprising. What the hell is that movie about??? Trailers are so misleading.
-
Well this certainly looks great. Wait, what does "great" mean again?

I s-hit you not. (http://www.slashfilm.com/2009/03/27/first-look-nicolas-cage-jay-baruchel-and-teresa-palmer-in-the-sorcerers-apprentice/)
-
I've never seen either Wickerman, but I guess Nicholas is a cop trying to find his daughter and by attempting to do so gets killed by a whack of bees. It seems like he punches a lot of women in this movie, weird.
-
Cage/Woodward is a cop trying to find a missing girl (not his daughter) in a community whose inhabitants, he gradually discovers, are practicing pagans. Various things happen. It turns out he was lured there on purpose to be the annual sacrifice, and in the end he is burned up in a great big man made of wicker.
The original is pretty good; the remake is awful.
-
I think that pic above is actually from VH1's SORCERY OF LOVE.
-
Cage in Con Air sports the coolest mullet evah! Dog the Bounty Hunter can only wish his looked that good.
How does the public get Tom Cruise to quit? Bombing movies and late night talk show jokes don't seem to slow him down.
If think it would be a way better gift to society.
-
I wonder if he still wants to be the lead in The United States of Dutch.
-
Trailer!

Actually, it doesn't look that terrible for a modern-day wizard action movie starring Nic Cage and Alfred Molina.
Don't miss the stupid hat at 2:08!

Dutch 2?
