Title: G.G. Allin is a laff riot!
Post by: Ralph Goldenmouth on March 25, 2009, 03:41:57 PM
I am absolutely enchanted by the way nearly any mention of the demise of King Scumf*k elicits laughter from both Tom & Mr. Wurster (the most recent example being  around half-way through the 3/24/09 show). Me likey.

I'm still waiting for the G.G. Allin comedy album, a la "Take No Prisoners."

Classic Dude, what's your favorite bit? I like the part where he riffs on Ronald Reagan.

The whole album is hilarious. In fact, it's the only Lou Reed album that I can stand. I haven't listened to it in awhile though.

I hope you know I was joking, I know nothing about Lou Reed.

Eh, whatever. Lou Reed's a jerk. If you've never listened to him, don't start.

I have no idea if Lou Reed is a jerk or not but Transformer is a great album.

Yes he is, and yes it is. I also like that other band he was in, before Wings.

I went to see that movie The Host at the NYFF and Lou Reed was standing next to me for like 30 minutes outside the theater. I ended up selling my tickets after deciding I didn't want to see a midnight screening. A few months later I went to see it on a sunday afternoon and sitting in front of me was none other than Lou Reed. IT WAS WEIRD*

*This is a new catchphrase I'm currently street-teaming.

One day they'll release all those GG Christmas albums they've been keeping in the vaults, and all my dreams will come true.

I never understood why G.G. Allin was always so angry. Somebody must have stolen his bike when he was a kid.

Angry? G.G. wasn't angry, just a misunderstood artist. As Tom said to Hutch, "It's very emotional... He had so much more to offer."

You must be thinking of G. Gallin.
