Heard most of it, or half of it at least. It's great. I want Ballskin to just start playing every time I walk into a new place. Store, gym, liquor store, social security offices, whatever.
Thumbs up.

i thought this new album by mf doom was boring.

Oh no, I just watched that Mos Def video. Is he feeding your Lil Wayne hate again? Is there some vocal outcry against Wayne or something?
And for the record, I'd bet 2 million against Wayne. There are very few guys doing it period who have the skills of Doom. Voice, presence, flow, rhymes, all of it. He's nuts.

I don't care enuff to hate. If people are like me his name is just a stand in for [random shitty rapper] when u need an example.

Yeah, I defended him during one of your tirades once, but the last couple of months have made it pretty hard to do that with a straight face now.

Are you trying to tell me that his rock album is a bad idea? I saw a video for some dumb rock song that he was featured on and I'm pretty sure that he won't turn down any request to appear on a song.

So I listened to this all the way through a few times the last few days. It isn't his best album at all, and Doom seems to wanna show off his production skills a lot here. The problem is, I don't give a shit about Raekwon at all anymore, no matter who does his beats. Blah.
I will say, the first 2 tracks are as good as anything he's ever done. The intro into Gazillion Ear into Ballskin, really nice. Just wish the rest of the album was that strong. Gimme another month and I'll probably say it's my favorite album of all time though. Or not.

I always end up liking his stuff after awhile. Years sometimes.

I really like it. It's always exciting to hear new DOOM especially since he stopped being the Bob Pollard of rap a few years ago.

The DOOM albums are always growers for me. It takes some time to absorb such thick raps. It definitely seems front heavy in terms of quality, so far. And it's a bit lazy to throw those old songs on there. Angelz is from a Nature Sound comp from a few years ago, isn't it? And then there's Lightworks. The reused Dilla beats are such a guilty pleasure. I always like hearing Dilla, but Kweli and Q-Tip just did Lightworks on the B-Ball Zombie War comp and it's on Donuts.
In general, it's a good album. It's no Madvillain, but it's no VV2 either.

Well, I was going by the record store after lunch, but maybe not now....thanks all.
