Can't see anyone else saying this on here, so here goes:
I won’t be doing the show tonight because I am going to see the awesome Death Cab For Cutie play the mighty Tower Theater in Upper Darby, PA. And because I AM AS FRIED AS CAN BE. I need one measly week off or the show - and my mind - will go down the turlet and might never return.

Back next week, everyone!

Yes! Finally, I get to watch the Dancing with the Stars results show.

Cut the man some slack! Let him live! WHY WON'T YOU LET HIM LIVE??????

I was torn to shreds by some fellow FOT's for saying the exact same thing several weeks ago. After such a great run of shows, the man deserves a night off.
But not really

Tom, like Paul Simon said: Have a good time.

I spent my time at a screening of Fast & Furious and almost got into a fight with the tough guys behind me.
No Best Show = My life spinning out of control.

Seriously, yesterday was a horrible day for reasons I couldn't put a finger on. In hindsight, I think it's because I miss the Best Show! Not begrudging Tom a break, god love him, but this has become way more an integral part of my week than I even realized. There is nothing better than a Tuesday night spent with my feet in Seattle and my head in Jersey!

...but the Gems was great! it was never made clear but i wonder if joe the plumber's "Dink Hunter" was a Shout network show?

As Joni Mitchell said, "You don't know what you've got until it's taken a week off to recover and go see former-WaWa Records artist Ben Gibbard in Pennsylvania."
Seriously, Wednesday sucked without the podcast, which made me appreciate the show even more and glad that I pledged.

My buddy wrote me on gchat yesterday to tell me that he finally realized that the the other guy that usually gets guest list spots for Death Cab For Cutie in Philadelphia was Tom. My friend recently heard "The Music Scholar" bit and said that it all clicked when he heard Tom's laugh.
He didn't mention if they discussed the Icewater demos.
I have found that "The Music Scholar" is the perfect introduction to Scharpling and Wurster. It made everything click for me, and I've managed to use it to convert other people as well. It's the ultimate in music nerd comedy.

I watched Doubt on Tuesday. It wasn't nearly as funny as TBSOWFMU.

(menacingly) It's happened.
