Did anyone watch this?  As much as I love Jon Benjamin, it was pretty boring.  They could have done a much better job with Carl.

Yeah, I wasn't wowed.  Although, as I commented elsewhere, it was interesting to see Jon Benjamin (and Shake, for that matter) so meek.

it was interesting and i have rewatched it - i don't love it or hate it - it is weird and out there and that is good enough for me.  And Julie, i advocate good internet but i have been without tv and cable for a week now for the first time in five or six years, and i am more productive than i have ever been.  if you are strong enough to not be addicted to tv or cable go for it, but otherwise avoid it at all costs!

This sucked.  It was worse than "Dickesode," the previous low.

The Dickesode made me squirm as much as watching flies copulate makes other people squirm, but I still laughed. Also, it reminded of macaroni and cheese. Why is that?

I was lying about the flies.  Although I do hate it when they land on me midhump.

I hate it when we have cicadas and they do that. I hate it when they land on me at all. I hate flies, too, and mosquitos.

I hate any bug in bulk and dislike some individuals.  Especially when they surprise me.

I went to the insect house at the zoo so that I would stop freaking out so much when I see the kinds of insects I hate, but it made my skin crawl for days. Even though they were behind glass, I got stuck in one spot from fear. But only the kind like centipedes, earwigs, and roaches do that. Grasshoppers, ants, and bees are my friend.

Nothing like picking a fresh head of lettuce from the garden and finding earwigs inside when you tear off leaves for a salad.

And here's a story to give you nightmares:  My eldest sister once put together some sawhorses using two-by-fours and brackets.  They lived outside till she brought them up to her bedroom, intending to make a makeshift table with them.  Late that night, after we'd all gone to bed, a panicky voice called me into her room, where hundreds of earwigs that had set up housekeeping in the brackets were pouring out onto the floor.  An energetic killing fest took care of them, but sleep was not her friend that night.  Especially since she slept on a mattress on that same floor.

There have been other bug incidents, but that's one of the worst.  Though the morning my other sister awoke to find a bat clinging to her hair trumps it.

Hey, this could be the topic of your next show!

It kind of reminded me of another cartoon that aired on Adult Swim a few years ago, The Big O. In the show, it was revealed that everything that happened was part of a performance/TV show with the characters only being pale imitations of their real life counterparts, and realizing the "fourth wall". This was supposed to be the "real life" Aqua Teen, I guess.

As I've said before we have to broaden our definition of food.

I found this on Answers.
when I searched "earwigs edible"

So no, I would not recommend eating earwigs. But roaches are pretty good and are known to be the cleanest insects around! (don't quote me on that though because my grandma told me that one too.) :[

To be honest, I thought most of the Carl auditions were great.
