Look at the top of this image. Are the curtains and especially whatever those curtain flourishes are, is that fake? Could be just the way cameras sometimes flatten things, but this image looks photoshopped to me. Am I crazy?
(ps, not a conspiracy thing at all, just this picture that looks weird)

I agree with Martin in that the picture does look a bit weird.
But, at the same time, who cares?

The descending valences hiding the stage lighting are messing with proportion and scale, it looks weird. My vote, not PS'ed.

I don't know, could just be an optical illusion that out imperfect human eyes can't register quite right

Like a lot of media photos, it looks like the Smart Blur was used. It reduces noise and makes smooth things crisper and crisp things smoother. Looks like it reduced those flourishes down to an almost flat color, like you said.
