Title: DracSearch
Post by: Chad from Oregon on June 15, 2009, 10:40:57 PM
Out of curiosity: Are any FOTs using DracSearch as their default search engine?

I found this on dracsearch:

The Chronicles of Bleh: My Annoying Coworker (http://crashingthru.blogspot.com/)

Pretty petty, if you ask me.

That is my new favorite website.

It's my homepage on one computer.  I wish you could do image searches, etc., as well.

It's my default/home page.
And since the color scheme is mostly black (unlike google), it supposedly saves energy. I am not sure of the science behind this, but whatever.

Yeah, for a while there was www.blackle.com to help save energy.  I'm pretty sure the energy saved is minimal though.

It's refreshing to see that I haven't been alone with this.

A little 'bleh' goes a long way. A whole lot of 'bleh' goes even further.

A DracImageSearch would just result in a lot of blank jpegs.

It would just result in every picture being a coffin.

I wish there was still a Monster Advice thread where we could determine whether this was true.

I bow to you again, Moonshake, for bringing this thing out of beta and turning it into the Cuil-killer it was destined to be.

I've changed my roommate's homepage to Dracsearch.  He has changed it back... 4 times ;)

I always go to it for all web searching needs.

It's cool that people are sticking with it into the actual real life "few months down the line" when it's supposed to get insanely annoying.

It is KINDA annoying. But I'm sticking with it.

I'd use it but I can't read the results.

I wish Dracsearch could be a Firefox add-on for my search toolbar. Can one do that?

Go to http://dracsearch.com and pull down the menu next to your search box. You can add DracSearch and use it as your default.

If it was the colors, I made them a little brighter.

Thanks, moonshake.  It seems a bit better.  And maybe when I get my new glasses in a couple of weeks, that'll help, too.

Good.

later . . .  Still no good.  Just a few minutes, and my eyes are jumping around in my head.  I'll try again after I get the glasses, but I have a feeling DracSearch and I are not meant to be.

If that's the case, Sarah, when you need to look things up, I suggest you "wiki it."
