I was just reading this NY Times story about a prevert who goes around to bars and has people stand on him (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/14/fashion/14carpet.html?_r=1&em) and I came across this passage:
A drunken freelance videographer visiting from Cincinnati lay down next to him and pressed her body against him for a long time. “He’s really cool, man,” she declared.
You're not a videographer, are you Julie? Because it just doesn't seem plausible to me that there might be another drunken woman from Cincinnati.

I've stepped on that guy before. I had no idea until the bartender told me I was standing on a human. It's sickening, really, being part of his weird fetish.

Your shoes were assaulted!

sure, this might smell of Julie, but a FOT such as julie has higher standards- even when speaking....man.

First Julie call?: 13 December 2005 (Superdouche Chris Klein) around 28:00

i thought the first julie call was in 2007...no, the beginning of 2008, because heath ledger had died. PFT was on that show.

I'm not sure. Very like, but the pronunciation of "off" is definitely New Yorkey/New Jerseyey, and Julie doesn't have that accent.
If it was Julie, though, her schtick has certainly improved.
In conclusion, curse you for making me hear even two seconds of Stevie Blue. Just a tiny exposure to his voice turns my stomach. Something about the forced vibrato makes me queasy.

I remember listening to the first Julie call (I was in a cafeteria) and I think it was January or early February 2008.
Just like I remember listening to the Cocteau Twins the first time I drove into LA, and Camper Van Beethoven the first time I drove into Colorado, the time/listening memory for Julie is LOCKED.
-
Wasn't the first Julie-as-Julie call when she drunkenly asked whether Yetta could be on the show?
-
We haven't heard from Julie in ages...did she bail on TBS? Call in JFC!

Actually, haven't heard the last hour of TBS this week...maybe she called in!?

If you're not in Chinatown, you lose out on a lot.
-
if youre on twitter, julie is alive
and well. in fact, i sent her a message- she replied.
julie is with us in spirit. she'll return, im sure of it.
-
The truth is, she never left you.

Truth is, I'm a little afraid of Chinatown. The FOT forum is the only message board I have ever joined/interacted with. I can barely keep my head above water here, wouldn't have a chance in Chinatown.
Good to know Julie is still out there!

I am very pro Julie and find myself rooting very hard for her to do well. It always makes me happy to see her pop up in my Twitter feed.
I guess it's indicative of my level of best Show fandom that I frequently wonder how Julie and other callers are doing in their personal lives.
-
I feel the same way. I have no shame as an online creep.

This. Julie is the best, and she'll always be the true RoTY '08 in my heart, sorry Steve. Just even thinking about a few of her early calls now is making me giggly, she's great.

It's the shameful creeps that are dangerous. Shameless transparent creepery is acceptable and even encouraged in my book.
