Something called Xerox about a band?
-
Z-Rock
on IFC.
-
you guys will all love this show. its hilarious and the band is really great rock and roll.
-
I saw some season 1 episodes, it's funny for an IFC show
I can't bear their serious music though, it's just cornball rock
-
I need to start watching Z Rock. Right now, the only thing I DVR from IFC is The IT Crowd, but Z Rock looks more promising with every commercial.
Has anyone else seen Food Party? I've only seen one episode and was less than thrilled. Should I give it a few more shots?
-
I find Food Party a little tedious, as witnessed by the fact that I'm behind two episodes. Z-Rock (which isn't new--this is its second season) can be funny, although the humor is very broad and the music is awful. I'm also put off sometimes by its boycentricity, but that's just me.
-
Yeah, Z-Rock is hit and miss for sure
IFC seems to have trouble getting quality shows. The only one I've liked was Hopeless Pictures.
-
So the crap they play on radio is bad enough now they have their own band.
-
Not a great show by any stretch, but not bad. If you are bored, and it's on, watch it. I really liked the episode with Gilbert Godfreit.
-
The commercials I've seen make it look like Flight of the Conchords with all the humor surgically removed.
Keep in kind that this is coming from a guy who is emotionally and inexplicably invested in the latest season of Charm School. My TV viewing hubris is quite unfounded.

It's certainly ripping off FotC, but I find it funny and oddly charming.
-
Big Jay Oakerson is the best part of the show. He plays Neil, the gayish night club owner.
-
Unfortunately, though, the writers/producers figured that out, and he's being overexposed now.
I've written off Food Party, by the by. Also, Ideal.
