Title: I owe the Strange Boys an apology

In another thread, I referred to them as the Black Lips Jr.  After seeing them tonight, these guys deserve more respect than that.  I can't remember the last time I was this floored by a band.  Do NOT miss them if they come to your town.

Hugman, we could've met!  I was there!  They were awesome, and then they ingratiated themselves to me forever by covering "Lodi."  What a band!

Were you hanging with the comedy dudes? I had a plaid cap, glasses, and vespa jacket on.
Yea, that cover of Lodi was soooo good. They pretty much played it totally straightforward
but by virtue of their sound it was totally different. LOVED it.

I talked to those guys briefly but I was there with my friend Natalie.  It was surprisingly packed, too - do they really have such a following already, or was it just rockers looking for something to do on a Tuesday night?
