Holy crapping mothballs. John Oliver is potentially my best friend. Or at least knows that Pastor Josh exists. Or has maybe listened to a show that I might have said something stupid on.

What are you talking about, exactly?

I heard a Scharpling reference somewhere between the 6-8 minute mark. O.

When discussing slogans, John Oliver brings up that The Best Show is one of his favorite podcasts and its 2009 slogan is "Some Will Burn. All Will Pay". It's like crossing the streams of awesomeness, I was afraid my iPod would explode.

oh, cool

If you can't take the heat, get out of the oven.

Oliver's Warren G impression is pretty solid.
-
I enjoyed the extended mockery of Pringles "snack food".
-
He lives in the FMU broacast range, he should know better. He had already mentioned it in his celebrity playlist. The Best Show now has 3 Daily Show Connections.

And also, what were you doing in the oven in the first place?

There is no I in "snooze".

I regret reading this before I listened to the newest episode, since I subscribe to The Bugle and if I had just been randomly listening it would have surprised me immensely.

Sorry, Matt. I hope you still enjoyed the episode.

Oh, you don't need to apologize! I wasn't blaming you or anything, and besides, it's not even close to a big deal.

Has John Oliver come in for The Best Show? Why the hell not?!
-
The Bugle is fantastic.
-
Is The Bugle anything like The Final Call?
-
You know, I bet Jon Oliver would come in during a Daily Show off-week, if he was staying in town. Maybe Mr Hodgman (Hodgeman?) could pressure him.

Oliver and Hodgman could carpool!

They could drag Wyatt Cenac along as well, I think he called in a time or two.

The story this week about the suicide bomber with explosives up his rear-end had me in tears. The Bugle is top notch. I think John Oliver would be a great in-studio guest.

I have been listening to the Bugle for little over a year; it is hilarious, and so fast-paced, it must be exhausting for those guys. Normally it drives me crazy to hear guys laughing at each other's jokes, but it feels so spontaneous that I really think they find each other deliriously funny. As opposed, say, to American morning zoo shows, where someone might say "Yes, I think the first lady farted", and everyone in the booth howls like it was the first fart zinger ever.
Yummm, fart zingers

I like the strawberry ones.
