I am sitting in Panera Bread, where it is apparently "Awkward Father-Child Outings Day". One dad immediately in front of me seemed like he was taking his joint-custody son along on either a very personal business meeting or a date. Then another sat down immediately beside me and started asking his daughter about school while she ate a bowl of ice cream and he just sat with his arms folded.

I just wanted to go on my laptop and get some work done while listening to that one cool jazz record they keep on a loop, and I'm doing my best to pretend the severe awkward vibe in the air is not bothering me.

The Dusty Show is awesome.  My radio play class really digs it (along with Art of the Slap, natch).
