The Rock Band Network (http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=152203) will launch as an open beta in late August 2009 in the U.S. and provide a sophisticated toolset, with detailed documentation on how bands can begin the process of authoring songs into Rock Band gameplay files. Authors will be able to submit tracks for playtesting and peer review via a specialized Web site, Creators.RockBand.com.
Finally, now we can all sing along to The World Is In The Turlet. Seriously, though, this is a huge development for this genre. Now all it takes is some enterprising young programmers getting permission and access to master recordings from their favorite bands, and the game could have stuff like Dirtbombs, Reigning Sound, Boss Hog, Ted Leo (please??) or whatever else. AND get a cut of whatever gets sold (I believe the going rate is $0.50 per download, though it could be more if they run their own publishing or label).

Did you see this?

INSANE. I wish I had video games.

Wow, I saw they had Big Dipper, but I didn't see that great writeup they did for it. I can't wait, it gets put out for Wii this week.

So, does this mean I can program some Anvil into it?
