Things I was looking at on the internet at the exact moment special in-studio guest Patton Oswalt said them aloud:
- Pandas
- Will Smith
There'd probably be more, but I tuned in late. Did I miss any lottery numbers or Knowing-style plane crash predictions?
-
- Pandas
- Will Smith
Were you trying to decide which one's cuter? Because I can't call it.

What about Will Smith wearing a panda shirt?

That shirt was cute when it was straight pink, you just panda'd a perfectly good shirt!
But yeah, that's pretty charming. I'd take him home to meet Nana.

never been a fan of Will Smith
still aint but I give him grudging respect for achieving super stardom from humble beginnings.
and for transforming from a pencil necked geek to a respectable size.

You're referring to his dick-print, right?

Lifting weights. What an impressive accomplishment for someone with no day job .

Actually, for the months leading up to I Am Leg-end his day job WAS lifting weights. But don't forget eating right and getting plenty of sleep.
Seriously though, say whatever you want about the man or his work, but the guy is no slouch and is ALWAYS in the process of creating something... And he employs a friend of mine, so he gets a thumbs-up from me.

Oh, and Tom has similar Synchronicity powers, though not as direct as what you've said about Patton here.
Cases in point.
1. It was a Tuesday, I had just watched Being There for the first time. In the movie, Sellers watches a Basketball Jones video while riding to the mansion. I had never heard of Basketball Jones in my life.
An hour later, while listening to the Best Show, Tom remarked "What am I? Basketball Jones?"
2. After Tom and Paul F. Pumpkins spent an hour deconstrucing the "Gathering of the Juggaloes" commercial, concluding with "The closest thing to Shangri-La on EARTH!" I finished listening to that episode, then went to the Archives and picked out a random episode from 2006 (I think, maybe 2005). The first song played that night was called "Shangri-La."

I'm not really a big Cheech and Chong fan, but that song just kills me. I laugh every time at the line "that basketball was like a basketball to me".

And Being There -- fantastic. I know Tom. has recently dissed the bloober reel but the outtakes at the end credits of Peter Sellers freakin' kill me.

A pal of mine is Will Smith's kid's personal acting coach. Guy got to go to Hong Kong all summer to coach him through this Karate Kid remake. I knew I should've stuck with teaching!!! >:(

You all should read The Drunkard's Walk.
I DID.
I read chapter 10 twice I liked it so much.
-
I've read it too. I just believe BM Phenom. is a cool name for what I experience all the time, though I know it's not "real."
Go and reread nonfiction books you read years ago, and you'll see they're full of stuff you've just learned.

You all should read The Drunkard's Walk.
Now, I will.

I just experienced an instance of the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon that involved the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon.
