Title: Freecycling
Post by: Pastor Josh on September 22, 2009, 04:12:29 PM
Hey, all.  I've poked around a little on this site, and I can't find anything that already covers this.  I've received so many really awesome things from FOTs over the last few months that I thought I might try to start a thread about it.  If you have something that someone might want but you no longer need, post it here.  DM the poster if you want it.

I think a few rules are in order.  1) Nothing illegal or that violates the rules of the forum.  2) You can't sell anything you get here.  You can give it to Goodwill or the like or pass it on to someone else, though.  3) No live monkeys.  Actually, probably nothing alive.

I'll start.  I have the first season of Six Feet Under on VHS and a paperback copy of Coetzee's Slow Man.  DM me if you want them.

PS--This is a poor example of grace, but if you've sent me something, you get first crack at these.

could either of those items be used as a pillow?

If you wrapped the VHS set in a towel, it could work as a pillow.

I have a Super Nintendo box thing. It's a big wooden box, that has pictures of Mario and Zelda on it. It's pretty old. I don't have any use for it, though it's pretty awesome.
I'll post a JPEG tomorrow.

By Super Nintendo, I mean it's a box that has scenes from Super Nintendo games on it. Just to clarify.

I haven't had much luck in the Barter thread in the past, either from people not responding or nil interest.

i have a game cube w/ some games i'd like to barter for episodic DVD's of Battlestar Galacta, Sopranos and the like. I don't want to keep the DVD's for ever, just watch them once.

This isn't really for trading.  It's just for sending nice people things.

I'll have to check around my apartment to see what I have to share.  Off the top of my head I know there's a unused TV in my office and several video game consoles I no longer use but that would require someone to pick it up.

No apology needed.  I just meant that's why this isn't in the barter thread.

Seems like it's turned into it. Maybe your rules will work, though.

If my rules don't work, I will throw a fit.  I could trade my right to throw a fit for a bottle of Faygo, though.

Well, I may be in NY in Oct., so if anyone in the area needs a vintage Super Nintendo storage box...wait a minute, I can't fit that on carry-on!!

Never mind.

I have some pretty cool glass bottles I've found if anyone wants one. They are really beautiful. Any glass bottle collectors? Anyone? Anyone?
