Title: Marmaduke's Voice Cast Revealed
Post by: zaxxon25 on September 29, 2009, 07:27:58 AM
Given the lineage this just might be better than Underdog.

Why won't Hollywood execs get off their snatches and make Family Circus already? It's like they don't want to make money!

I can't wait to see what kind of sunglasses Marmaduke wears on the poster.

I want to see the movie they make based on that big dog in Parade or whatever.  I want to say Gus?

Can we wiki that?

I only say this because I didn't have to wiki it: Howard Huge.

As a side note: it's amazing to me that Parade is still better than Reader's Digest.

Awesome.  I tried to wiki "big dog parade comic" but it didn't work.  And apparently it's from the creator of the Lockhorns!

I bet Marmaduke would win in a fight, though.

Was Beethoven based on Howard Huge?

I think it's more a universal archetype.

Ron Perlman is the only actor on that list who I can see playing his part sans-CGI. That guy's face has "Chupadogra" written all over it.

Sorry to burst your bubble, Lewis, but Beethoven was a German classical composer.

Crack a classical music station much?  Cause I don't think you do.

It's Howard Hughes, show some respect.

So this is a live-action movie featuring CGI talking animals based on a comic strip without talking animals in it?  Marmaduke purists must be up in arms.

I though Underdog was pretty good. Patrick Warburton rules.

What? No Bill Murray? This is an outrage.

I heard the script is based around this particular storyline too.

I'm not sure I'm grasping how the perspective is working there between Marmaduke's size and the players in the outfield.

I hope the movie turns into the Eric Bana/Ang Lee Hulk movie where the Hulk's height changed about 40 times during the course of the movie.

Let's all chip in and make sure this thread grows longer than the one for Inglourious Basterds.

I also hope the movie turns into the Eric Bana/Ang Lee Hulk movie by having Nick Nolte hanging around being completely unintelligible.

Does Bill Murray need an easy buck?

I was just informed that Lorenzo Music did both Garfield's voice on Garfield and Friends, as well as Venkman (Bill Murray's character) on the Real Ghostbusters.

How about a film adaptation of Mallard Fillmore? Jonah Goldberg could write the screenplay and David Zucker could direct it.

Starring Bruce Willis, Tom Selleck and Mel Gibson?

Wait, are there any other characters in MF than Mallard and the doughy balding liberal?  Other than the DUI convicted cartoonist.

Oh, no, he did not.

Maybe Darryl Strawberry and Doc Gooden will provide voice work.

If Tupac really IS alive, he's dead now.

I like that Phantom Planet song.  Why are we so focused on California in a movie about a giant dog?

I smell... a disheveled movie.
