Hmm, also with Nigel Godrich and Beck's drummer.  Were I in LA, I'd definitely go see that.

"We Believe in Nothing" sounds like a Radiohead song.

"We Believe in Nothing" sounds like a Radiohead song.

They already have a song called "Nude".

Knowing Thom, it would probably be spelled 'chhknft'... or whatever Chickenfoot is in Esperanto.

I think the band sounds awesome, but I'm not above making fun of Thom Yorke for dancing like Anthony Keidis.

I'm really digging this.  I hope they tour.

You know, I've always said, "I would like Radiohead if they had a bit more slap bass."  Looks like Thom Yorke was listening.

I have always felt very uncomfortable with Thom Yorke's weirdness in dancing and singing while live.  Its one of those cringe enducing things that is painful for me to watch.

The reason Michael Stipe is such a big Radiohead fan is that he can point to Thom Yorke and say, "Look at the weird flaily dancing of the lead singer! What the hell is that?"

I'm kind of lukewarm about the live solo stuff.  Part of me really liked the cold laptop creations of his solo studio releases.  My initial reaction to these live clips was that they seemed a bit self-indulgent, but what is this kind of thing if not self-indulgent?  Good for him... and Flea.  I hope the band tours too, for no other reason than to perhaps see Thom Yorke perform in a smaller venue again.

I agree.  The only Thom Yorke dance move I can totally get behind is his Kid-Amnesiac era head-wobble.

Yeah, I thought his solo album was very undercovered.  Unlike, say, some solo albums released in 1978.

I, too, liked the cold emptiness of the songs.  He's a hell of a songwriter, and I think an underrated frontman/vocalist (if one of the world's most appreciated bands can be underrated).  I can't imagine he's anything other than constantly infuriating to be around, though.

It's also cringe enducing to see him with his shirt unbuttoned while even Flea has a shirt on.

I got wind of a new supergroup: Chickenfoot Too Featuring Buckethead.

Yorke was a "guest DJ" about 8-9 months back on All Songs Considered, and he couldn't have been more affable/funny. I was shocked, but he seemed like a guy you would invite to a christening or something.
