Title: The Winner
Post by: Dan B on February 20, 2007, 12:16:42 PM
new sitcom starring Rob Corddry.  Full episodes online.  It's pretty funny, mostly because of Corddry's acting.  http://www.fox.com/winner/epis/index.htm

I haven't seen this yet so I'm no position to judge but it seems to be a "Get a Life" rip off, doesn't it?

I guess if the show is a hit it may increase the probability of making the complete "Get a Life" available on DVD. The fact that it currently is not is truly one of the great injustices of our time.

I got my dad a bootleg Get A Life: Season 1 DVD for Christmas, complete with voice-over ads to stay tuned for "Herman's HEad" over the end credits!

John,

I cannot condone such violation of copyright law but where would one find such an item?

There's nothing that would make me happier than seeing a commerical for "Flying Blind"

Oh my god I watched the pilot last night and ouch what a load of crap. Maybe it gets better. It's no Get A Life, not by a mile.

I got it at Midtown Comics.  Actually, I didn't really see any commercials, except for maybe like one would start and then they would like pause it or whatever.  It's exactly like watching your old VHS tapes of shows that you liked, back in the days when you would tape shows manually WHILE you were watching them, with the understanding that this may or may not be worth ever watching a second time.  Did that with a lot of SNL when I was a kid.

I just searched Amazon for Get a Life and all they have is a couple best-of DVDs. But I was pleased to find that under "plot keywords" it says "Dying Repeatedly"
