I am very excited for the return of this dynamic duo.
I don't know if Therese takes music requests but I'll throw one out anyway. Dump's "When U Were Mine" Prince cover.
Mike, to prepare for your show, I DVR'ed several episodes of Intervention. I have watched one so far -- the two people featured were the porn actor/ultimate fighter/meth addict and the young mom whose own mother rationed her alcohol while they spent all day in the living room. Great stuff, although I was not sure I would have supported an intervention for the meth addict. He seemed to be doing fine, considering everything else. What other reality shows will be part of the Mike show discussion -- "Hoarders"?

It's Therese.

It's Therese.
That's not how it sounds.

It does if you speak Le French.

I have it on good authority that Tuesday will feature good music and engaging topics.

I'm going to watch this tonight:

I like how MTV is going ahead with this out of respect for DJ AM's mission -- rather than out of any exploitation. Kind of like how The Who waited a whole two days after Entwistle OD'ed to restart their forty-fifth reunion tour.

therese is sharp... should be a "W"

The real reason they're going ahead with this is because DJ AM is a ghost and it's Halloween season.

DJ Spooky must be fuming about this.

Holy cats, that's one person?!
Also, The Therese & Mike Show should be great, I especially really loved the music last time out.
-
This is gonna be great!

I love that song. It's epic. Prince has never done it for me but I love that record.

Yeah what was up with that?! It was like they knew he could go at any minute.
-
i am really enjoying the show so far... good job guys!
-
i had to miss it. podcast?
-
Probably not, but it's archived.
-
kevin_, look for Moonshake's unauthorized podcast gadget, posted around here somewhere, and put "TQ" into the appropriate field. That's what I do.
-
this needs to be put up in a podcast. This show was incredible.
also beautiful choice of bed music.
-
BANGIN show guys. Had me tuned in the whole time. Definitely need a call screener to wrangle calls. My technique found myself dialing in to get on when it sounded like the person was starting to wrap up his or her tale. Keep on bringing sexy back.
-
Looking forward to next week's--AND BEYOND!
-
I had high hopes for this show but didn't expect it to be THAT good. Holy shit, nice job guys! MIKE IS HILARIOUS.
BRING SEXY BACK!
-

I'm fairly certain that Therese and Mike thought 'Jessie from Astoria' was a little kid (I know I did).
When she complimented them on bringing sexy back, is it possible that they thought a little kid was calling them in and telling them that?

That's kittykittymeowmixhead, guys!
-
Oh okay, they probably knew who she was then..
She just has such a light voice is all.
Loved the show this week!
-
I'm wishing now that I pretended to be a kid from day 1. Tom thought I was a kid too. What's even better is that I'm about as tall as a fourth grader :)
:-[
-
Of course I didn't think Jessie was a kid, fred. Get your head out of the gutter, you sicko. The Therese and Mike Show addresses mature themes, but we know where to draw the line.
-
fred. Get your head out of the gutter, you sicko.
That's not his head, Buster.

I am not an animal, nor am I Gary Puckett.
-
I am not an animal, nor am I Gary Puckett.
Prove it!
-
Ben's neck= Kah-Rack!
"Way to beat those girls."
Mike's intention to tar all gym teachers with the same brush.
After Therese declares that is not her intention.
How would one spell Somersault?
Never mind on the latter question.
Who's Somer?
Assault.
-
I am not an animal, nor am I Gary Puckett.
How about Kirby Puckett?
Had his own problems with the ladies.
-
No Puckett relations at all unfortunately. Future inquiries should be forwarded to thedarksideofthehumanexperience@geocities.com!
-
Personally, I love the fact that the Mike Show is a potential home/forum for NJ train crash enthusiasts like myself. Keep 'em coming, Mike!

thank you for the podcast last week. i appreciate you podcast elves. everything mike said was gold.
-
I heard some horrifying things last night.
Great show.
-
After last night's show, I kept hearing this in my dreams - over and over and over again...

Thanks, Mike and Therese, for unearthing things deep in my subconscious I longed to forget...
-
A good theme song for the last stretch of last night's show:

What was that bed music? It sounds so familiar yet I'm having a hard time placing it.

I loved how, after bungling Therese's name, Larry offered a gallant, "My apologies, ma' beauty", which made Terre T burst out laughing.
That "ma' beauty" was truly inspired.
-
I meant to mention this a while ago ...
I like the way Mike says "Com-pile-Ashun".
-

Larry either knows how to work someone over or he's a real gentleman, because he called back after he was hung up on to tell me that it was great to talk to me in person and that I was doing a great job. None of the other crypt keepers called back just to say "thanks."
I think Laurie missed out. There, I said it.

Damn, Spoony, I told you how hot you looked and wished you happy birthday. That ain't enough? Give me your phone number.

Don't do it, Dave.

The inaugural Therese show of this season is on right now, and she is playing some stellar tunes. Great job Therese!
