Title: It's just a photograph of someone that I knew...
Post by: buffcoat on February 21, 2007, 01:29:45 PM
Hearing "New York Mining Disaster" took me back to my parents' 8-tracks.  Now maybe Tom can play "Rhinestone Cowboy" or "Muskrat Love."

I would like to hear Rhinestone Cowboy on TBS, maybe the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald too...

When I was a kid, I thought the line in that song went: "Getting carrots and lettuce from people I don't even know..."

A friend of mine thought the lyrics to an Elton John classic were "Hold me close you Tony Danza."

"Your eyes, I say, your eyes may look like ears."

Confused the hell out of me when I was a kid.

Jed, you just reminded me of the most amazing misheard lyric ever, from that same song:

Turkey meat - on your cheek
Turkey meat - on your cheek
Turkey meat - on your cheek
Turkey meat and it's on your cheek
Turkey meat and it's on your cheek
