Title: Jay Leno enjoys being the underdog
Post by: Christina on November 02, 2009, 10:39:18 AM

The intro to this interview refers to Jay wearing "his familiar off-stage denim uniform" and finishing this interview it occurs to me that the way he talks is the oral version of a denim uniform. Not only will this guy say anything remotely opinionated in public, it's like he doesn't even have opinions in private:

I just read the first few questions so far, but I'm already finding it hilarious that he's bragging about "keeping work in California" and how many WGA writers he's got on the show after scabbing out and writing during the writers strike.

I actually really enjoyed that. There were a few weird "hoo boy" moments, but his candor about Dave's "scandal" was nice. Also those last couple of questions, he handled well too.

I forgot he did the scabbing during the writer's strike. What an a-hole.

I like him better than I did before.  I have to appreciate an extraordinary level of realism in a human being.

I like him as an underdog, too. Maybe he should drop the show and start podcasting?
