What am I looking at here?
-
Water and boats! And some blood! It's exactly what I thought it might be!
-
I think I see the back of the head of Ving Rhames' stand in too. ::)

Wasn't this same shot in "On Golden Pond?"

Yes, all that scenery chewing made the water go all choppy.

can anyone remind me which show that was where Tom sang the theme song to Piranha 3? I need to label it appropriately so I can listen to it on a daily basis. That may have been as hard as I've ever laughed during a Best Show.
-
Let me know. I think I need a Piranha Explosion ringtone.
-
when i find the episode i will make one, for sure.

I believe the person in the second photo is Richard Dreyfuss. It could also be one of my uncles; I'm not entirely sure.
-
When did Richard Dreyfuss become Wilford Brimley?

It's more like he forgot to take off the Dick Cheney makeup that freaked me out.

I wonder if piranhas get sick of the propaganda constantly put out there about them? This kind of vilification is highly overstated. Not afraid of them.

You are aware that these particular piranhas are 3 dimensional, right? I mean, I agree if we're talking two dimensions, I ain't sweatin' em. Three is a whole different ball game though.

that'd be the six-hour extravaganza on June 2, 2009, wouldn't it?

Thanks, I'll check it out to make sure. I don't need much of an excuse to listen to archives, anyway.

Little interview with Adam Scott on Vulture (http://nymag.com/daily/entertainment/2009/12/the_vicious_kinds_adam_scott_o.html) today, discussing the film. And s2 of Party Down, which just wrapped.
We are strangely fascinated by Piranha 3-D. You're not playing a sketchy jokester, are you? Those guys don't seem to last too long in films like this.
The title kind of says it all, doesn't it? No, I'm a geologist and I come to help Elisabeth Shue out with this mysterious problem that's happening at the lake. There's an earthquake, so we come to investigate the earthquake — which may have opened up a chasm at the bottom of that lake which may be where all these mysterious fish are coming from. Three-dimensional fish that will fucking tear you apart.
Is this the first 3-D killer fish since Jaws 3-D?
Maybe. I remember seeing Jaws 3-D in the movie theater as a 20-year-old. And me being a 10-year-old, I was able to discern that that was a terrible movie. So hopefully we'll be able to convince 10-year-olds otherwise. The cool thing about Piranha 3-D is that it's a popcorn movie from the planet popcorn. It's going to be hilarious and so, so gory. It's going to be awesome.

Went to the theatre this weekend to see Youth In Revolt and they showed the trailer for Piranha 3D. People were laughing at how ridiculous it was and then at the end of the laughter when it got quiet i heard some girl say kind of loudly "so stupid".
-
Here is the trailer i guess its not online yet. You can see in the video how it starts in the middle, what it doesnt show before that is how it starts out like its going to be a serious 3d movie and then cuts to what you see below.

Oh man!!! I just got out of seeing Youth In Revolt but had arrived late, and so didn't see any trailers. Ah well, I could sit through Youth In Revolt again, I supposed.
Yes, I'm that much of a movie junkie.
P.S. Dreyfus looks so grizzled in that shot up there. Pretty tough!
-
I guess this is the full teaser trailer with the opening i was talking about but it still looks like low quality.

I saw a trailer for this at Clash O' the Titans ... August 26th!
Also, Moocher is the new Freddie in the Elm Street re-boot.

Easily one of my favorite movies ever.

Yup, one of mine too, seen it a billion times and could watch it again right now. There are so many awesome people in it. One of the closest movies ever come to being perfect.

True. Paul Dooley playing the dad is really good and always worth mentioning. There are a lot of things in his characters personality that remind me of my dad. I probably watch this once every year or so. It's like good soup.
-
Jackie Earle Haley is making quite a comeback. Watchmen, the silly show Human Target, Nightmare. Funny that he's been reborn as a tough guy. He's so frail looking.

Did you see him in Little Children (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0404203/)?
There was some unpleasantness towards the end.

Absolutely. I almost called in the last time Tom was compiling movie quotes to add Dooley's classic line: "Them's my French fries!"
