Well, folks, the premiums have started arriving. I haven't gotten mine, but my pal has his so I'm putting a viewing party on the books for next Wednesday, Jan. 13. around 7pm.
I live in the heart of WeirdOwood. PM me your contact info if you wanna come and I'll send you deats.
Special appearances by Patton Oswalt, Matt Walsh, and, of course, Paul F. Tompkins.*
*there won't really be any special appearances

Oh man :( ... I've gotta do my show that night.
No chance of shifting it to the 12th or the 14th?

Thanks for putting this together. I live nearby, just south of Wierdowood but my ability to make it depends on what happens at work and traffic. Is this a doors at 7, film at 8 deal or are you screening at 7? Let me know if the day changes and I will do my best to join you.

If you're going to go to Knoxville, you might as well go to Seattle too.

OKAY.
The screening has been moved to Tuesday, Jan. 19th to accommodate Stevie NoHo. We'll open the doors (front and back, I guess?) at 5 for anyone who wants to stop by and listen to the show then start the movie at 8.
Then around 10, we'll head to Knoxville to accommodate DFK, and we'll hit Seattle on the way home.
Again, please PM me for the address and password.

Great. Now Lisa Jane and Andy Zax can't come. I'm never planning anything ever again. Don't be surprised if the details change again.

I am willing to work with the best option. I CAN do the 19th, or pretty much any night of any week OTHER THAN Wednesday, because of my show.
What should I bring?

As long as you wind up in Knoxville, change away.

Details aren't changing. Lisa and Andy will survive. See you in the wee hours, Dave.

So it's still on for Tuesday the 19th? BRILLIANT!!!
Engraving it into my granite calander now. I look forward to meeting Hugwoman and all L.A. FOTs!

Oh Man!!!
Showdown of the Proteges followed by Mr. Brooks with the Hugmans!!! This might be the best Tuesday of 2010.
But if there's one thing that can top it, it's a future episode of The Best Show.

So you can't make it to Kentucky, huh? Well, lemme see, the logical choice would be for me to drive to Seattle and see it there. Meet up with you guys then! I'll bring spinach dip.

*bump*
I'm sure those that are coming have already checked in with me, but just in casies...
Now I just gotta procure a copy of the movie today.
-
Update, due to an audition the listening party portion of tonight is out. Still firing up Mr.Brooks 'round 8.
Also, due to reason and logic, the Knoxville and Seattle portions have also been cancelled. Sowwy.

totesies.
Whew! For a long time, I couldn't go into a grocery store without bargain copies of Mr Brooks falling into my basket, but boy did I have to scavenge for it today. Had to rent it. Luckily, My friend was working at the video store and I got the hookup. I quoted my favorite commercial by leaning in and saying "Is that cool?"

Ha! is that cool? Is that still cool?
In defense of that commercial though, every time I've seen it with other dudes in the room, they all comment on the fact that the two girls working in that Taco Bell are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too pretty to ever work at Taco Bell. I never mention it. Other dudes always do.
AND Big thanks to Hugman for hosting that shindig. It was so good to meet some more FOTs! Yeah, that's right, I modified this message after the party, so that Hugman could have the last word ;)

Thanks to all who showed up. It was a fun time. And thanks to Tom for the awesome gift of Mr. Brooks. Once again, the music supervision was top notch!
