Hey all,
I've been listening to The Best Show since this summer, when I heard my main man Paul F. Tompkins was on some radio show talking about The Gathering of the Juggalos. I've been hooked ever since and I can safely say this show has changed my life for the better.
Over the past few months I've also devoured every Scharpling & Wurster CD, and I've heard the 7 or 8 clips available on the Best Show site. Now I'm wondering where to go from there. Can anyone recommend me some good archived shows to check out? Or is it possible that some enterprising FOTs out there have made their own Scharpling & Wurster compilations featuring the deep cuts not available on CD? Point me in the right direction! Thanks!

go to archive and start at show one and work your way up
the way we all did.

Guy Whitey,
This site might help with the S&W stuff:

Huh?

There are other ways, but I would recommend tackling the archives.

I still feel terrible because I haven't done this yet. I feel like I'm only half a fan!

I haven't done it either. But I will get around to it.
Someday.

Buffcoat, love your blog - it's nice to see the list of characters printed out like that.
I can't imagine tackling the archives at this point. When I did it, I only had about 2 years of stuff to listen to, now it's like - 8, I think.

If you don't want to work your way forward chronologically, I'd suggest just going to the archive and picking a show that looks good, then listening to a couple of shows in a row from that period. That's what I did for a while, before taking the "plunge" of starting from the beginning.

This is a great suggestion.
Also, I like your awesome Mr. Show username!

And I would also like to add to the praise for Buffcoat's Newbridgtionary. It's helped me locate a lot of info as I try to work my way forward and compile The Best Show Logs.

Thanks, guys. I originally put it together just for me as I was going through the archives, circa 2004. Good times.

I am working my way through the archives for the second time. I can listen to music at work so I just slap a bunch of mp3's on a flash drive.
I love remembering where I was the first time I was listening to the show.
I strongly admit it.
