hi. my name is tim. living in greenpoint brooklyn. from long island new york. suffolk county, deer park. it's a town known for its name sake avenue in which people once raced cars, but now just park in the payless/tcby/buybuy baby lot and turn on their floor effects.
i've been listening for a few years, thinking of calling up and figured i'd do the cowards way first.
i have no plans to see avatar. i'm more a fan of cameron's early work.

Are more than 2 of you allowed in the same room at the same time?

yeah, it's really weird. i would hear all these callers calling from greenpoint and, like a fool, i was convinced that there was a greenpoint in new jersey or something. no, no. something about this town. rent, beautiful views of scary oil refineries, cheaper rent, drunk older men who've lost their way stumbling about...
there should be a meet up here. we can all show up and roll our eyes at each other!
-
clifford party.
-
We should all go see Klausner at Word in a few weeks.

I will be there, and everyone else should be too. If you're not already supporting WORD, DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT. It's an amazing store, and they put together a really fun basketball league this summer, among many other great events. Amazon can suck it. That store is probably reason #1 that I feel sad about considering leaving Greenpoint.
Let's hear it for another weekend without train service!

Hell yeah! is this the last weekend, or is there one more?
RE Klausner @ WORD ... anyone who wants to, let's sync up before or after, yea? Pencil Factory, Black Rabbit, that new bar that just changed names & I can't remember what it is? That one?
-
Oh, and this looks awesome, now that I've read this a bit closer ... from the event page:
Julie Klausner, author of the new memoir, I Don’t Care About Your Band, will host a night of funny stories about love-gone-bad, also featuring Rachel Shukert, author of Have You No Shame? and Mike Albo, author of The Underminer: The Best Friend Who Casually Destroys Your Life.
I haven't heard of Rachel Shukert, but I love The Underminer - this is going to be a fun evening!
-
i'm psyched! will be totally fun.

I think we're got another weekend of getting screwed by the G. Had to schedule it in the coldest part of the year, eh, MTA?
Drinks after sounds like a great idea and maybe we can all drag Julie and Her Jack out. Greenpoint is ghoul free, or at least, we've got enough to fight them off.
