Title: Sonic Youth fans

Post by: Tim K in DC on March 19, 2007, 01:18:39 PM: Daydream Nation was a great "cool down" (double) album for me back in my LSD-taking days (I quit that crap in my freshman year... it got too scary). There was a familiarity and warmth to it that always managed to put my freaked out mind at ease. The last Sonic Youth record was awesome, but I've been lukewarm on a lot of their more recent output. Live, I will concur, they still kill. The fact that they can perfectly recreate a song like "Expressway To Your Skull" live is a testament to their power.
