The lyrics sound like they were written by someone who didn't know anything about baseball but just gathered random baseball terms.

i wonder how the marlins got scott to do this.  maybe they promised him a free meal at denny's?

Stapp's approach to singing is similar to a pole vaulter. He's gotta get a running start and then grab the mic just to sing one phrase.

It's sooo sexy.
