I actually found his reaction touching.  That's some real hurt there.

I believe you, buffcoat. Nothing wrong with a grown man expressing emotion. I believe I teared-up a little myself when he first began to wail. But then he wouldn't stop and I grew frightened.

I thought it was about the first guy that was crying while he was talking so when the other guy started crying it really caught me off guard.
