Title: Love is No Laughing Matter - Lifetime Movie
Post by: MikeInManhattan on June 03, 2010, 01:33:51 PM
We made this movie specifically for Lifetime. Written by Eric Strong and Paul Sweedlund (Family Fun). Produced by Frank from Weehawken and Mike in Manhattan. Directed and edited by the latter.

Hope someone enjoys!

They sure finished the keg fast.

Later:  I especially liked "Jokes are what people do when they can't watch sports" and "Ahhh . . . you killed me . . . with a knife."

One question:  How does the real Poppa Tim feel about his namesake?

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I hope it will have as much cultural relevance as Mother, May I Sleep With Danger?

As for the real "Poppa Tim," I think he's happy with the casting decision. The eerie thing was that there were 4-5 people we know that would have been equally perfect playing him and they each expressed interest in who would get it. Traditionally you don't want to know people that would make startlingly convincing perverts.

Without watching the video, is this about a woman who is in an abusive relationship with a comedian?

Now that ive thought about it, that was a little hacky. What else can Lifetime be made light of though if not abused, and distraught women?

I hope that becomes the new rap slang to replace "raise the roof".

Best movie title ever. Me and a friend used to see how many similar titles we could come up with. My favorite: "Mother, May I Plead Entrapment?"
