I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere around here yet - my apologies if I missed something. Anyway, the always-reliable AST Records just released a three-pack of comedy EPs featuring one each by PFT, Greg Proops, and Dan Telfer. It's $15 for the pack, or you can get the Proops and Telfer EPs on iTunes (but not the PFT - you have to buy the pack for that one). All three are super-great (and the Proops, at 37 or so minutes, might as well be a full album) and the packaging is nice (as usual).
A few details: the PFT disc is the riffs from the second set recorded for Freak Wharf (plus an old joke done at the request of an audience member), Telfer's is his opening set from the Freak Wharf taping, and the Proops is extra stuff recorded during the same show as his AST album Elsewhere.
Sorry if this sounds like a commercial - I more or less stumbled onto this at AST (which I don't visit regularly) and, like I said, hadn't head it mentioned on here, and I know lots of us are PFT fans.

Haven't ordered it, but will. Plus the Kyle Kinane and Greg Proops CDs which I haven't gotten around to yet.

I ordered my copy a few days ago! I can't wait to get it.
-
Is the Pard F. Tompkast still gonna happen? Anybody heard anything?
-
I can vouch for the quality of Telfer's material. He's very funny.

I was completely unfamiliar with Telfer before this but I really enjoyed his EP.

Awesome! Thanks for posting, that is quite a deal.
And a reminder to you all that a Paul F Tompkins special is on Comedy Central - Friday, June 11th. The Laughing Skull lounge show, if you remember his mention of that last year. DVD soon to follow as well I think?

The Kyle Kinane album is pretty great. I'm a big fan of it. Very cool and original.

The Kinane is great. I'm also a really big fan of the Proops album. And the Proops EP that comes with the 3-pack is pretty awesome, too. It's even more vitriolic and angry than the album, which is saying something.

The only part of the Proops EP I didn't enjoy was when he was shitting on Ram.

Haha, I knew someone from here would bring this up. I thought about Tom immediately when he did that.

Thank you to everyone who purchased the 3-Pak and used my CD as anything other than a coaster. It was very cool to stumble upon some kind words associated with my CD in this thread.

I got your disc on iTunes, Dan, and it is indeed tons of fun. Good stuff!
