Who exactly are (is?) Steve's ilk?
-
I dunno. Steve lacks pizazz.

Before they established otherwise, I would have sworn when Steve first started talking that the new Associate Producer was Captain Beefheart. The vocal resemblance was uncanny.

Is steve really mike, just using another personality for a long running gag??? he sounds JUST like mike did! and then Tom mistakenly(or not?) calls him Mike several times every show!
InTrIgUe!!!

Obviously not - Steve has a mustache!
-
i get the feeling that steve is way creepier than mike could ever be
-
This part of the show where he laughed was positively blood curtling...
-
It is kind of touching how Tom keeps calling Steve by Mike's name -- he really seems to miss the guy.
-
well played, white man!

I don't trust anybody that goes by the name "Steve".
-
You'd know, Steve.
-
I see what you did there. I've been outed. I still stand by my original statement.
-
A shot in the dusk, merely.

Why hasn't anyone on the boards kicked up more of a fuss about Mike leaving? Even if kicking up a fuss might be, ..."fifty cents screaming into the wind". Did PFT say that? I like Mike. His sudden departure and eerily similar replacement is/was both shocking and amusing. Also the Mafia angle and the disrespectful questioning of Luther Campbell's motives. Discuss, please.

I had my doubts about Steve, but fending off that anaconda was something else.

I've just caught up on the podcasts (i fell behind and I don't live in the states so I don't get to listen live) and I was wondering the same thing. It seemed like Mike was gone and then Tom was gone and then they both came back without any explantion as to why Mike was back. Did i miss something?
P.S Don't get me wrong i'm glad Mike is back!

The best explanation that I can give you is that there was a blip in the time continuum and it righted itself.
