In fact, if you're ever in front of a computer with a lot of time to kill, there are less amusing things to do than going through the "Friday Face-offs" in his archives.

Also, if you have not bought all of his books and merchandise you can rot in hell. Same goes for Michael Kupperman.

I did not know of this. Thank you. I tis all great. If there are Artisanal Pencil Sharpening posters left when I get back from vacation, I WILL BUY ONE!

Mrs. Break and I purchased some sharpened pencils from David Rees today at the Saturday Nightmares horror/sci/fi convention.  He did some very impressive sharpening and had some really beautiful equipment including:

While David was sharpening our pencils a confused Bruce Dern walked up and asked us how the get back to the main room.  While he did not purchase a sharpened pencil I later saw this:

Michael Kupperman has his Twitter location as "Hades" so perhaps there is something to that.

He also has a (mostly) weekly comic again (http://www.fantagraphics.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=category&sectionid=6&id=42&Itemid=109 (http://www.fantagraphics.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=category&sectionid=6&id=42&Itemid=109)) and an amazing new book coming in the Fall. And he is a nice dude. David Rees too.
