That wasn't an auction. That was just a sale. And these were prominent artists selling pieces for a tenth of their market value.

Apparently the auction was relisted with a new photo of Tom and Jon-as-Gene. As a result, it wiped out all previous bids!

So I placed a little more than the contents of that refund check, and I will not bid again. We'll see how long I stay on top.
