I have been listening to The Best Show for a few years now, but have never heard "Rot, Rock and Roll." I just bought the CD from the Sterolaffs website and plan to listen to it during a road trip over the week of Thanksgiving. My question is to anyone who has purchased something from the site, how soon can I expect my cd?
-
Soon. At least, everything I've ordered has arrived very quickly.
-
FYI, they're also on itunes and emusic.
-
I believe Tom does all of the work himself. He'll get to it when he is able. Tom sent a few extra stickers when I ordered stuff way back when...that small gesture sealed my allegiance to TBS.
-
As far as the Stereolaffs website/order processing goes, Jon and Tom share that load, so the shipping times are often affected by their work/travel schedules (Jon's touring, Tom's attendance at various fudge-making seminars, etc.) I know that circa the release of The Art of the Slap, Jon was handling a lot of those orders.
Based on my experience with shipping times, you should have a Clontle-filled journey to and fro your Thanksgiving destination.

one of my (extra) stickers had a message written on the back - "send to Patton". I can't bring myself to stick it on anything
-
This raises another question: Just how much artwork do the physical albums have? Front cover, back cover, inserts?
I've bought them all on iTunes and all I can seem to access is the front cover art.
-
That was quick. I already got an email from Wurster telling me he is sending it today!
-
Corrections and apologies...
I believe Tom and or Jon manage all of the orders themselves. They'll get to it when they are able(which is right away according to lpme). Tom and or Jon sent a few extra stickers when I ordered stuff way back when...that small gesture sealed my allegiance to TBS.

With the lure of stickers and other TBS swag in the air, I just ordered a "Newbridge is for Lovers" t-shirt.
In my cotton candy fantasy world, though, they'd also have a Sister Shelia hoodie and a Gas Station Dogs tee for order.
-
I ordered some cds and a shirt in late October and still haven't got them, but I'm assuming because it's international shipping. I hope there isn't a problem.

Did you get an email from Jon? I placed the order Sunday, got an email on Monday saying he would send it that day, it showed up Friday. Which is a normal shipping time from Chapel Hill to Denver. You might want to send them an email.

This makes me wish I'd ordered the CDs this way. In a fit of pique, I bought them all on iTunes because I simply could not wait to hear them.

I bought a used copy of Rock, Rot & Rule off of Amazon, but now I'm feeling guilty about it so I'm going to order a Newbridge shirt and maybe another CD from Stereolaffs when i get the dough.

I ordered the last three (had RRR already) a couple of months ago and they came right quick. Except for RRR they're all double CDs, edited for extra comedy quality, and totally worth the money. Every FOT should have them. And yes, I ordered them after I had listened to almost the entire archive and needed a fix. I know we're all spoiled with the Gems now but the CD are like the Super Gems.
-
Just ordered a Gorch shirt. I hope it arrives in time for my sister's wedding. Fingers crossed.
-
I'm still waiting on the "Newbridge is for Lovers" T-shirt I ordered 8 business days ago.
I'll wait as long as it takes, especially if Mr. Wurster himself is responsible for actually writing my name on the package and dropping it in one of those old mailboxes on Pancake Avenue. You know, it's that mailbox next to that old grenade blast hole that they had to fill with colored marbles and pave over.
-
Got my Gorch shirt in the mail today! When I opened it four stickers and two buttons fell out of the envelope. This made me INORDINATELY happy. I'd like thank the entire staff at Steorolaffs World Headquarters.
-
Still haven't got my stuff yet but I have contacted them about it.
-
Sorry for the delay with some orders. We were out of stock on certain sizes of T-shirts. But now EVERYTHING has been filled and everybody should be getting their orders!
Thanks for being patient!
Tom.

Oh, happy day. I'll be clothed for Christmas!
-
So far, I've found nothing worthy of joining the three FOT stickers I have on my laptop.
-
I got my stuff today. "Newbridge is for Lovers" t-shirt is grand. Has there ever been any talk of a couple more Newbridge-related items? I wouldn't mind buying a "Sister Shelia Hoodie" or a tie clip with the Newbridge coat-of-arms and motto.
Oh, question for Newbridge continuity lovers: I got a sticker with the Sajak credo and a picture of a little kid holding up a weed whacker. What call is this weed whacker kid referencing?
-
Thanks Tom. My 13 year old son has been saying for weeks that the only thing he wants for xmas is the Gorch T-shirt. I can't imagine the joy he will feel when he sees that one, solitary box under the tree on Christmas morning.
-
Yes, I've got my NEWBRIDGE shirt and my CD (I forget the title, but it's the one with the Gorch) and you tossed in a few stickers. It was my Thanksgiving present to myself so I'm thrilled I finally got it.
-
an ANYTHING, INC. mug with the motto IF MONEY'S NO OBJECT WE WON'T OBJECT would be the piece day resistance of best show merch imo
-
Got my stuff and stickers and buttons today! Thanks Stereolaffs!
-

How about a Consolidated Cardboard work shirt?

Just want to echo everyone here and say, if you're thinking about ordering something from Stereolaffs, do it. They're nice quality, and the "Newbridge is for Lovers" one especially is a just a really nice looking T-shirt.
I dream for the day I'm wearing it in public and some cute girl gets the reference...

Just found the sterolaffs catalog is available on rdio (http://www.rdio.com/label/Stereolaffs/ (http://www.rdio.com/label/Stereolaffs/)). Listening to "New Hope for the Ape-Eared" as I put in my order for a Newbridge Tee.

All my purchases have gone from Chapel Hill to Newbridge, NJ and then back down to Durham.
