Thirded. Laughed out loud at work when I read it.

As you might imagine, this really is a huge story here. It's so big that, on the same day it first came up, a local story broke about what appears to be turning into a secret government assassination. The only question is, which one is the hastily constructed cover-up meant to divert public attention away from the other?

It's funny when they get various man on the street opinions, because the first thing that Philadelphians come up with to rival the loss of Tastykakes, like, in terms of gravity? Cheesesteaks.
-
I liked the shout out to the Mummers.

Beloved Florida talk show host Bob Lassiter loved Tastykakes.
He also died from untreated diabetes.
I'm just saying some things I am aware of.

The best Philly food is the pretzels. Those 50 cent cold, soft pretzels are so much better than those giant crusty junk pretzels you get in New York nowadays. Mall pretzels are better than New York pretzels. (To be fair, those same ripoff street vendors in Manhattan with the junk pretzels usually also have knishes.) Also the Philly pretzels probably kept me alive the year or so I lived there with no money.
The second best Philly food is probably Lorenzo and Sons.

Um Wawa Breakfast hoagie? Who doesn't want 5 eggs on top of a cheesesteak

I didn't know we were talking about breakfast foods. Maybe add scrapple to the breakfast hoagie and you'd have a contender.
Don't forget the Philly Taco--

Gag Me With a Cupcake is my cover band of 'nem Hooters.

Does this mean they're no longer going to have the woman dressed as Marie Antoinette who throws Tastykakes from atop Eastern State Penitentiary each Bastille Day? I certainly hope so.

Why couldn't it have been Hostess?
