So it goes.

Everything was beautiful, and nothing hurt.

Actually the death of Donald Hamilton upset me more
-
Aw, sad. He was 84.

"My father, like Hemingway, was a gun nut and was very unhappy late in life. But he was proud of not committing suicide. And I'll do the same, so as not to set a bad example for my children."
Remember that everyone has something to be proud of. Hi ho.

I loved him in Back to School. Wasn't he a writer, too?
-
I was a huge fan of those commencement speeches he didn't actually make.

Honestly, the zing-y pop cultural references are enough to keep me coming back to this forum - to make em and to read em.
Then when we exhaust a topic, we move on. Hoo-ray, Internet.
-
Are we sure he didn't just "take a leak"?

Actually, today I feel sad and guilty that I haven't read more of his work. I read Slaughterhouse Five pretty thoroughly in college and loved Cat's Cradle and Breakfast of Champions but other than seeing the odd essay here and there it's been a few years since I've picked up anything by him. I'll have to stop at the library on the way home.
Oh well, at least he's with God now. ;) (EDIT: Oops, mangled the quote. Should've been "in Heaven now." Told you I should've read him more!)

I didn't even know he was sick.

Ting-a-ling, ting-a-ling.
