I have watched "The Tool Shirt" so many times now...
I think "The Tool Shirt" is becoming my metaphorical tool shirt.
Thank you Drennen!
-
That short was so great. Really well done.
-
I really truly can't believe I watched an entire short film on the internet.
But I really did and I really enjoyed it. Great job!
-
"Rammstein Sucks" really made me laugh. The whole thing was great.

Just thought it'd be good to have the URL in the thread for folks who haven't had the chance to see it:
http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:hcx:content:atom.com:e2bd4d3f-f50d-4037-a513-3c6dca24a72c (http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:hcx:content:atom.com:e2bd4d3f-f50d-4037-a513-3c6dca24a72c)
EDIT: Huh, that's weird, it posted the video. Even better, I guess.

"Tool. I know what it meant to me: A bust-ass shirt!"
"I sell ya good cans..."
"The fat goth-chicks at the mall, they don't buy any cans."
Some of the greatness in this short.

thanks for the support, gents (and ladies?)! We really appreciate it, I really appreciate it! FOTs are the best people around!
While this competition is running until sunday, we've been selected to participate in a slightly different contest that would put The Tool T-Shirt video on the www.atom.com (http://www.atom.com) homepage. If you want to vote for it, you can do so here: http://apps.facebook.com/opinionpolls/index.php?pid=1294960809. (http://apps.facebook.com/opinionpolls/index.php?pid=1294960809.)
thanks again for watching!

I love you, too...L
I watched a game and had bar food with three random Hollywood writers last night. Hats off to you, creative people!
Now I have to go and write business crap for my company's website.

This is in a competition? How do I help it compete?
I have impossibly high standards for comedy, and if it's an internet video then I basically start out bracing myself for it to be terrible, but The Tool Shirt is something special. So many highlights. So many obvious turns deftly avoided. Such a rare breed of sympathy for the lead character. Even the direction and the music are spot-on.
How long did it take to put together? Have you worked on anything else?
EDIT: Just listened to the part of the show about the video, now it all makes sense.
-
really, really well done and hilarious!
-

I think im going to try and work in the phrase "bust ass" to explain things more in my daily life now, also the tool shirt goes great with a man bag.

I will never look at people wearing that shirt the same way ever again.
-
"I feel like I finally has a purpose in this world."
-
The "jazz shirts" line is golden. Really great man.

It was an idea I had in the back of my mind for almost a year before I sat down one day and drafted a script as I needed to turn something in for this sketch show I was working on. We punched it up and two weeks later I had a final draft. We shot it in about five hours over the course of two nights and edited all day and night that friday. It ran in the show two days later.
I haven't worked on much - the sketch show that I am writing for is called Exquisite Corpse and it's a monthly show performed and streamed live over internet and I think this is only show that does that but I could be mistaken. there's more about it here: http://www.claymoreproductions.com/exquisite/. (http://www.claymoreproductions.com/exquisite/.)
thanks again, dudes!
