But you could even that out with some dogfood sandwiches, while you are reading it on your kindle.

At least I already have the audiobook version--pretty essential listening.

The audiobook is pretty great, but the kindle version is totally hardcore.

I just read this for the first time. I can't remember ever reading something so exhausting.

I read it years ago.  Let me summarize:

"... I was in the shed..." pp 5, 12, 13, 14, 17, ibid

"Greg's mom said..." pp 36, 39, 56, 121, 174

"I loved that ice cream store..." Chapters 9-10

"They spat on me..."  Chapters 12-16

The rest is essentially an extended retelling of "I Know You."

Three Stars!

Hey, speaking of Rollins, can anyone point me to a spoken word song of his that he actually does with the band, rather than just a capella?  I'm trying to find something I saw him do in City Gardens in 1987 but am coming up empty-handed.

It's for a musical I'm working on.

I agree wholeheartedly, it's a great listen.  The only listening experience that would feel more intense would be Henry Rollins personally telling what a weak pussy I am.

Is it about the history of Details magazine?

Rollins wouldn't approve, but there's a drinking game where you take a drink every time Rollins says 'the band was pathetic' in the audiobook.
